Hello Tokushima!

I just want to start by saying a huge thank you to everyone who has supported the Gambarous over these last two seasons. From the fans and boosters to the coaches and my teammates! I’m so grateful for all of you. Being part of this community has truly been something special.

Even though we didn’t end the season the way we hoped, I’m incredibly proud of how we stuck together through every high and low. No matter what challenges came our way, we stayed connected and fought through every battle as one team. Thanks to your amazing support, we were able to accomplish so much, both individually and as a group. And most importantly, we never gave up. That’s what being a Gambarou is all about!

I truly believe we have the best team and the best fans in the league. Basketball is a long journey, there are wins and there are tough moments but I have no doubt that Tokushima’s future is bright and full of even bigger accomplishments ahead.

On a personal note, living and playing in Tokushima has been an awesome experience. Great food, great people — it’s a city full of heart. It might be a smaller city, but it’s filled with people who dream big and inspire others to do the same. I’m leaving with so much appreciation and respect for this place.

Lastly, I want to apologize for missing the remaining fan events, I’m off to my next adventure. But this definitely isn’t a goodbye forever.

Thank you again for everything, Tokushima will always have a special place in my heart. See you again down the road!

徳島のみなさん！
ここ2年間、チームを支えてくれたブースターに感謝の気持ちを伝えたいです。ファンのみなさんやコーチ、チームメートに心から感謝しています。徳島のコミュニティに迎え入れてもらい光栄です。

今シーズンは期待通りに行かなかったものの、辛い時でもチームが一丸となって戦い続けたことを誇りに思っています。どんな逆境でもチームは同じ方向を向き戦いました。私個人もみなさんの支えに勇気づけられました。
我々の絶対に諦めない姿勢を誇りに思っています。これこそがガンバロウズのあり方だと信じています。

ガンバロウズのブースターは日本一だと思っています。バスケの戦いは簡単なものではありませんが、徳島は今後どんなに辛い道のりでも乗り越えていけると信じています。

私自身にとって、徳島での生活はとても貴重な経験でした。人も食も最高ですし、地方都市だからこそ他の都市より強く、大きな夢を持ち、周りを勇気づける力を秘めていると思っています。徳島の地には感謝しかありません。

私は次のチャレンジに挑むため、徳島を離れました。シーズン終了後の残りのファンイベントに参加できなかったことをお詫びいたします。ただこれがお別れだとは思っていません。

みなさん、本当に本当にありがとうございました。徳島で過ごした時間は僕にとって一生の思い出であり、宝です。またどこかで会いましょう！
